Happy Summer to all our friends and supporters of Angel Interfaith Network! Here’s hoping that your summer days are filled with joy and surprise as we begin the reality that life, once again, is moving on and our communities are reopening. As many begin their return to daily activities, our staff at Angel Interfaith Network continues their daily processing of requests for assistance for many LAC+USC patients still suffering from the affects of the pandemic.
For Angel Interfaith staff, Summer may be here but the mission and work continues because we all know urgent needs don’t take a vacation.
To provide you with some of the inner dealings and thoughts of the general operations at Angel Interfaith Network is Board Member, Susan Brown:
Angel Interfaith Network is about extraordinary people doing things to support other people that they will never meet. For all of our history, AIN has provided resources, worked with chaplains and social workers, and helped to meet the urgent needs of the patients and families of LAC+USC Medical Center. The way we do that has evolved over the years; what has not changed is the heart of it all, represented currently by the people now doing the behind-the-scenes work.
I asked Maria Salazar and Laura Paniagua to share a little about themselves and to respond to this question:
What has most moved or touched you as you’ve come to understand and be about the day-to-day work of Angel Interfaith Network?
